Inflatable Kayak

Experience a new adventure in Cascada de las Ánimas, descending 5km in an inflatable kayak for 1 or 2 people on the Maipo River, having the opportunity to be your own boat captain!

You can go alone, with your partner or friend, or if you want to feel more secure you also have the option of going with a guide in the same ducky.

The route starts from El Melocoton, ending in El Toyo sector, a soft and easy section to navigate. But not before a comprehensive introductory safety talk, a calm water rowing coaching and handing over the technical equipment for the descent.
Once on the river, accompanied by the kayaks and safety catarraft, the group of paddlers receives a final introduction of currents and safety concepts before starting the adventure.

If you decide to go alone or accompanied, remember that you will always be safeguarded by our security team! We will not leave you alone … Your safety is fundamental to us.

Once the descent is finished we return to Cascada de las Ánimas in our transportation.

What is an inflatable kayak?

An inflatable or Ducky kayak is a boat shaped canoe made of a very resistant material that achieves its necessary rigidity to be inflated with a certain pressure. Unlike rigid river kayaks, inflatable kayak are open so their crew members are not subject to them, they are also more stable which makes them suitable for people with no or little experience. Depending on their size the inflatable kayak can be for one or more people and have the particularity of auto evacuate the water that enters so our passengers just have to worry about paddling and enjoying this incredible experience.

Physical Requirements

• Know how to swim
• Healthy physical condition
• Do not present injuries or medical conditions that mean an impediment to perform the activity.
• Previous experience in some white water activity (rafting, kayaking, canoeing, hydrospeed, stand up paddle or other)
